Provide customer focused sales to customers over the phone and on site. Will answer inbound phone calls troubleshooting problems. Requires agronomy and/or equipment background, computer skills, and good phone skills.
Work with field production department to maintain crop watering needs. Will organize and direct crew members. Responsible for installing, dismantling and repairing/maintaining irrigation pumps and systems. Maintain water flow, repair leaks and flush lines. Assist site manager with all facets of operations including operational, quality, cost and reliability initiatives. Play a vital leadership role in on-site safety programs, documentation and reporting. Work with seed receiving, cleaning and conditioning, treating and packaging seed, training and scheduling staff. Also coordinate and plan customer seed orders, inventory management, trade and compliance, shipping.
Assist with 3,000 acre crop operation. Work with precision ag equipment and perform light maintenance on equipment. Will work with planting, harvest, tillage, nutrient application and spraying. Will also load and deliver grain. Requires experience in crop production and have general knowledge of agronomic work practices. During seasonal periods will work Saturdays.
Operate a new 2022 JD sprayer, operate a self-contained computerized tender system. Will do pre and post spraying, covering approximately 25,000 acres a year. Will also help with irrigation and harvest.
