Beef Herdsman

Registered, progressive and well-respected 1,000+ cow/calf operation seeks beef herdsman to join team. Duties include feeding, checking cows regularly, tagging, weighing calves, recording information. Will have direct responsibility for calving and care of 400 head. Assist with AI, chopping, haying, etc. Prefer individual comfortable with technology/computers, etc. Must be team oriented. Excellent health insurance provided.

Beef Assistant

Assist with feeding and care of registered Angus operation and a 2,000 head feedlot. Must be detail oriented and work well with team. Prefer experience with AI and ET. Housing Provided.

Farm Assistant

Diversified farm operation seeks motivated, dependable individual with interest in working in agriculture. Will operate equipment (John Deere) and assist with 2,000+ acre crop operation, a custom silage business. Will also assist with a cow calf and feeder operation along with a 1600 head swine finishing unit.

Crop & Beef Assistant

Join a diversified farm operation (row crop, hay, and cow/calf). Herd is primarily commercial. Few registered cows, if interested, can also work with show cattle. Calve in the spring and fall. Must be adaptable and willing to assist with all aspects of the operation. Southwest Iowa.

Farm Assistant

Seeking individual with passion for the beef industry. Will assist with 500 head cow/calf operation along with 1500 head feedlot. Duties include feeding cattle, identifying and treating sick cattle, processing cattle, yard maintenance. Assist with calving, tagging, vaccinating, branding, fixing fence, etc.  Benefits include housing and beef.

Assistant Feedlot Mgr.

Hands-on management role of 8,000 head custom feeding operation.  Oversee crew of 7-10.  Work with receiving, assessing and processing cattle, riding pens and pulling/doctoring animals.  Calling feed and rations, sorting and shipping cattle.  Must be self-starter, dependable and enjoy interfacing with customers.  Requires good decision making skills; data analysis abilities helpful.  Leadership skills a must.

Feedlot Assistant

Well maintained 7,000 head feedlot seeks assistant.  Inside processing building, computerized feeding system.  Requires some feedlot experience.  Family oriented group, normally work 7 AM to 5 PM and every other weekend.  Hourly.

Feedlot Manager

Manager needed for smaller, 850 head feedlot.  Will be in charge of the day-to-day operations.  feeding, checking cattle for “poor doing ones”, vaccinating, etc.  Will also cross over and help sell hogs when needed.  Need to be responsible, have good livestock/cattle background an be a self-starter.  Will rotate weekends off.  Salary plus housing and bonus.
