AGRIcareers, Inc. is conducting an Exclusive Retained Search for a Senior Research and Development Executive within the food industry. Will be responsible for company’s overall research and development functions. Provide technical leadership for the design, development and implementation of product development initiatives to support company goals and objectives. Requires effective and collaborative relationships across many different functions such as marketing, operations, purchasing, etc.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Direct the development of R & D plans and allocation of R & D resources
• Plan, execute and monitor approved R & D projects
• Oversee development of new products, ensure products are in compliance with    applicable regulatory issues
• Oversee evaluation of ingredients in relation to quality improvement, cost savings    or new technologies
• Identify new business opportunities, products and industry trends
• Manage, mentor, and motivate technical, QA and R & D staff

Successful candidate will offer 10 or more years of progressively responsible research and development experience. Must have demonstrated effectiveness in providing technical leadership for design, development and implementation of product development initiatives. BS in Food Sciences or related field required, MS or MBA preferred. Compensation includes salary into the six figures with normal perks associated with executive positions.
